On Friday the 3rd of October my 147 Academy travelled to Germany to hold a junior development Coaching day in Breakers Snooker Club in the city of Rüsselsheim. The eight players LORIS LEHMANN, FELIX FREDE, SAMUEL MURSCHALL, TJORVEN HECHT, WILLIAM FREY, SVEN GORAN MAIER, RICHARD WIENOLD and KEVIN STRELOW were selected from all across Germany and coached on improving their technique, shot selection, training structure and potting skills.
They practiced from 11am – 6pm on my various academy routines to improve their Cue Ball Control, Break Building, Tactical and Safety Game. I worked with each player on getting them into the correct address position and stance position using my alignment laser as this will help them deliver the cue more smoothly. I was very impressed with the quality of the players on show and the passion of Michael and Thomas on helping to build up the junior game in Germany. It all goes good for the development of the game in Germany. Each player received a DVD of their playing techniques plus training programs to practice at home and it will now become part of their new training structure this coming season.
I would like to thank National German Bunderstrainer (coach) Thomas Hein for his assistance and Michael Heeger for organising the camp. Finally I would like to thank all the players in making the camp a great success. I really hope the Camp helps the players to improve their game and I look forward to holding another training camp in Germany in 2015.
