This week I had the pleasure of coaching Ireland’s Snooker Professional player Aaron Hill from Cork in the Snooker & Billiards Ireland HQ in Carlow in the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday 20th September.
Academy player Aaron has had a great start to the season after performing excellent in the QSchool to regain his pro status and re-join the WST Tour. Aaron was preparing today for the Scottish Open and the Northern Ireland Open which will be held in the next few weeks.

We worked on all areas of his game which specific drills on cueing, scoring, cue ball control and safety during the lesson. Aaron was again very impressed with the facilities in the new SBI HQ in Carlow and said ‘’ it was great to have another session with PJ to fine tune my game. It is brilliant to have him in my corner and on the end of the phone before every match or whenever I need advice or motivation.
PJ said ‘’ Aaron attitude and performance on the day with his scoring, cue ball control and technique were excellent and shows me how hard he has worked on his overall game since April’’.
Training Aids
The latest training aids were used in this camp to enhance each session like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get him on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in his delivery.
SBI HQ
This SBI HQ features 4 Star Tables, 4 Shender Tables and 4 Mini Star Tables in a state of the art new academy. It is an honour to work for Snooker & Billiards Ireland and have such a place to hold my lessons.

All my training lessons are digitally recorded and the player should bring a pen drive so they can receive the movies from the lesson to study on a computer or TV at home.
