Last week my 147academy returned to Israel to hold another Snooker Coaching camp for Shachar Ruberg and a number of his personal academy students in his base in Tel Aviv.
I was also asked by the NGB in Israel to hold two official coaching workshops in Haifa in the (north) and Beer Sheva in the (south) for the Israeli snooker association.
The coaching workshops were held in The Snooker Cub in Haifa and The Inter Pool in Beer Sheva. It featured many of the top local players. The aim of the workshops was to develop good coaching fundamentals in Israel. Both workshops were hailed a huge success by the players and ISPA Chairman Shai Eisenberg who attended the workshop in Beer Sheva.
All the players received a workshop booklet with Drills and the technical points that were covered. I was delighted to see so many players wanting to attend and receive coaching and training. Big thanks to both clubs and EBSA Coaches Shachar Ruberg and Shai Yair for assisting me at the workshops.
During this camp it was a great honour to coach leading International player Shachar Ruberg plus fast improving junior Yaron Bodor plus a number of Shachar’s leading students this week in Tel Aviv. Each player had great fundamentals and big credit goes to Shachar’s coaching.
The goal for Shachar in this camp was to prepare him for the upcoming European Championships in Malta and he performed fantastic in all the sessions.
In the 5 days all the sessions were different but the players practiced Break Building, Long Potting, and Cue Ball Control routines plus tactical shots, as I believe it is key for the players to practice the correct routines. I worked on fine-tuning all the player’s techniques by analysing their videos. All the players received the movies from the lessons to help improve their fundamentals.
The latest training aids were used in the camp to enhance each sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy Laser, EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get them on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.
Good Luck
My 147academy would like to thank Shachar and the Israeli Snooker Association for inviting me to Israel. I hope all the players become more confident about their game and technique to achieve more goals in the future, I would like to thank everyone for their superb attitude and commitment during the training and I wish everyone good luck in the future.
It was a pleasure returning to Israel and I am already looking forward to seeing the players at another camp later in the year. A big thank you Shachar for arranging everything so perfectly for this camp.
