My 147academy is very proud for to announce that I have undergone the 1st4sport Level 2 WPBSA Coaching exam and passed to achieve 1st4sport level 2 status.
1st4sport Level 2
This WPBSA 1st4sport Level 2 course provides training of how to safely plan, deliver, review and improve the performance of both novice and intermediate snooker players up to a level of 50 break standard.
Each WPBSA coach completes an initial four-day course, consisting of both theoretical and practical training. They then work towards completing a portfolio based upon lessons coaching two players.
Next they apply to be assessed on your knowledge of the principles of coaching and the delivery of a series of snooker coaching sessions.
The WPBSA course has been developed in partnership with 1st4sport Qualifications and its format is typical of the coaching qualifications delivered across all sports working with 1st4sport Qualifications.
This course has also been awarded Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) Professional Standards Status, ensuring that our accredited coaches are operating at an equivalent level as other sports practitioners working in the sport and education sector within the UK.
Thank You
I would like to personally thank Jason Ferguson WPBSA Chairman, Chris Lovell WPBSA Head of Training and Development and Andrew Highfield WPBSA Delivery team on their assistance on the course.
I am sure this accreditation will help my 147academy assist my academy players in Ireland and around the world to achieve even more on and off the table in the years to come.
