This week my 147academy returned to the beautiful city of Kotka in Finland to hold another training camp for Russian Juniors from the Academy Billiard Sport in St Petersburg in the Finnalist Billiards & Snooker Club in Kotka in Finland.
The Players were Bogatyreva Aleksandra, Klesov Konstantin, Polevoy Maxim, Smoliakov Yaroslav, Zvezdina Margarita, Krasikov Machail, Bogdanov Ustin, Strunov Nikita and Kuznetsov Nikita attended the camp.
Each player has improved since the last camp and during this camp I worked on developing a new training program to improve their Cue Ball Control, Break Building, Tactical and Safety games.
Developing Fundamentals
I worked on developing a solid playing technique in their Stance, Cue Action, Grip, Address Position and I used my academy laser and Master Doctor Kit to achieve a good position on the table plus the Blade Cue and 360cue to improve their shot approach and delivery.
The players practiced my training routines to improve their player’s cue ball control. The players also received the new 147Academy Sports Psychology booklet to work on their mind fitness. Each player also received a CD of their playing techniques plus the new programs to study at home.
Developing future Champions.
All training scores will be now recorded by academy coaches Alexey Solovyev, Alexey Denisov and a scoring statistics on each player will be developed to monitor each player and I am confident the players are in good hands.
Challenge Winners
The winner of the first Challenge was Klesov Konstantin with a stunning 108pts, second was Polevoy Maxim with 63pts and third was Smoliakov Yaroslav with 52pts. The winner of the second Challenge was Klesov Konstantin with a stunning 265pts, second was Polevoy Maxim with 147pts and third was Smoliakov Yaroslav with 96pts.
The Long Potting Challenge winner was Aleksandra Bogatireva and the Tactical winner was Klesov Konstantin.
Talented juniors
I believe the players have the fundamentals plus training program now to improve more and again I was so impressed with Alexey Solovyev, Alexey Denisov and Dmitry Beltukov from Academy Billiard Sport with their vision on how to develop their juniors in St Petersburg.
