Last weekend I returned to beautiful Vienna in Austria to hold a National Snooker Camp organised by the Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association with the Austrian National Team players on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of April 2024.
The Players
The 14 Players were invited to the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy in Vienna were Emil Becker, Mario Bodlos, Oskar Charlesworth, Thomas Janzso, Elias Kapitany, Jérôme Liedtke, Lukas Stötzer, Maximilian Pfleger, Paul Schopf, Patrick Stift, Patrick Stegmeier, Florian Toth, Josef Elias Wimmer and Aref Hussaini attended training both days from 10am to 6pm.
The facilities in the HSEBC academy were again top class and I was very happy with the players overall training performances and I am confident, we are developing all the players at each camp.
High Quality Camp
This camp we again concentrated on specific drills in Mini Breaks, Open Breaks, Long Potting, Tactical, Match-Play, 6 Red Pack, 10 Red Packs and Frame routines where players played.
Coaching Program
All the players received a copy of a new Mental Training booklet plus videos of their playing techniques and videos on improving their mental fitness during training sessions at home.
Seminars Mental and physical
National Coach Chau Zi Kim gave a number of Mental Training seminar to the players on becoming mentally stronger plus Thomas Janzso held two fitness sessions for the players to warm up properly.
Training Aids
I had all the latest training aids to enhance the sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser and the EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.
Thank You
I would personally like to thank the Austrian Association for inviting me to work with the National Team players and I am already looking forward to holding more camps in 2024.
I would like to thank Austrian President Christian Fock plus National Coach Chau Zi Kim and EBSA Coaches Clemens Kunkel and Bernard Müllner along with the HSEBC Academy for their assistance during this camp.
Keep on training hard and believe in yourself.
See you all in June.
