Last weekend I held my latest National Training Camp for the Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association in the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy in the city of Vienna. This camp was mainly focused on preparing the Austrian players for the IBSF U-18 & U-21 Snooker Championships which is being held in Belgium next month.
Attending this camp were the National No.1 Andreas Ploner, Markus Pfistermüller, Oskar Charlesworth, Florian Nüßle, Elias Kapitany, Philipp Koch, Jérôme Liedtke and Patrick Stift in this two day camp from 10am – 6pm. Markus Pfistermüller, Oskar Charlesworth, Florian Nüßle, and Philipp Koch will repersent Austria in the World IBSF Junior Championships in August and all four were in great action during the two day camp.
This camp I again worked on improving the players Break Building, Long Potting and Safety Skills. All the players received a DVD of action from the camp along a training booklet plus Sports Psychology audio to work on their mind fitness. On day 1 Andreas Ploner won all three events when he won the Break Building, Long Potting and Match Play Challenges after a stunning display of snooker. On Day 2 Florian Nüßle won the first Match Play Challenge but it was again Andreas Ploner who won the Break Building and final Match Play Challenge to finish off a great weekend for the young Austrian who plays in the Paul Hunter Classic in Germany next month.
Top Breaks
Top breaks in the camp were Andreas Ploner (127c Carter Break), Andreas Ploner (103 Maguire Break), Andreas Ploner (98 Max Break), Florian Nüßle (103 Star Break) Markus Pfistermüller (108 Max Break) and Markus Pfistermüller (101 Star Break).
I would like to thank the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy, ASBA President and Sport Director Christian Fock, local coaches Guenther Echhart and Chau Zi Kim for all their assistance throughout the camp. I would like to thank all the players in making this camp a great success again as their commitment was superb. Finally I would like to wish the four Austrian players good luck at the IBSF World Championships in Belgium. Come on Team Austria !!!!!!!
