Last weekend I returned to beautiful Vienna in Austria for my latest camp for the Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association camp in the ÖSBV Academy on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of June 2026.
Venue
The training facilities were again top class in the ÖSBV Academy. I was delighted to see all the players motivated at this camp. The players were very eager to learn and I am very confident; we are developing the Austrian level at each camp.

The Players
Attendance at this camp was a mixture of Juniors, Masters and top Austrian ranked Snooker players who will be competing in the 2026 European Championships in Bulgaria were attending this camp.
Lukas Stötzer, Oskar Charlesworth, Thomas Janzso, Christian Hochmayer, Timo Gampersberger, Florian Toth, Dominic Neuwirth, Milan Dobrosavljevic, Jérôme Liedtke, Patrick Stift, CW Steiner, Gunter Kulle, Peyman Chitsaz, Günter Kaschmitter, Hans Nirnberger, Daniel Seyser, Jeffrey Pang were invited to the ÖSBV Academy.

High Quality Camp
This camp we concentrated my specific academy drills focusing on Break-Building, Mini Breaks, Open Breaks, Cue Ball Control, Long Potting and Match-play plus we held a 10min Shoot-Outs.
On day 1 Austrian No.1 and National Champion Oskar Charlesworth was in superb form in winning the shoot out and making numerous century breaks on the day to be the star of the day pipping , Jérôme Liedtke, Patrick Stift and Lukas Stötzer.

Day 2 was another day of top class snooker with Patrick Stift winning the Cue Ball Control event, Christian Hochmayer won the match-play event while in the Shoot Out it was Thomas Janzso who won it to cap off a great performance for the Austrian.
Most improved player Patrick Stift and Thomas Janzso impressed most with many centuries while a new 13yr old Junior attended to impress all the coaches on the day.

Coaching Program
All the players received a copy of a new training booklet to identify what their goals were and how to train to reach them. The players got feedback on what fundamentals they need to work on.
Mental Seminars
National Coach Chau Zi Kim gave several Mental Training seminars on becoming mentally stronger throughout the camp.
Training Aids
The latest training aids were used to enhance the sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, QLine, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser and the EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.

Thank You
I would personally like to thank the Austrian Association for their continued support and inviting me again to hold more camps with their National Teams players in 2026.
I would like to thank Austrian President and sporting director Patrick Stegmeier plus National Coach Chau Zi Kim and EBSA Coach Florian Schidla along with the ÖSBV Academy for their assistance during this camp.
Good Luck
It was a pleasure training everyone again and good luck in the European Championships in Bulgaria
keep on training hard and believe in yourself.
See you all in September.
Auf Wiedersehen
