This weekend I returned to Austria for another camp on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of April to hold an official Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association camp in the ÖSBV Academy in the beautiful city of Vienna.
The Players
Attendance at this camp was a mixture of top Austrian ranked Snooker players plus International Billiard players who will be competing in the 2026 World Billiards Championships in Carlow next week plus up and coming juniors, lady and Billiard players.

Lukas Stötzer, Dominic Neuwirth, Milan Dobrosavljevic, Patrick Stift, Patrick Stegmeier, CW Steiner, Martin Schmidt, Richard Alge, Peyman Chitsaz, Zoran Kostic, Günter Kaschmitter, Alexander König, Florian Toth, Jeffrey Pang and Josef Wimmer were invited to the ÖSBV Academy.

Venue
The training facilities were top class in the ÖSBV Academy, and I was delighted to see all the players motivated at this camp. The players were very eager to learn and I am very confident; we are developing the Austrian level at each camp.

High Quality Camp
This camp National Coach Chau Zi Kim focused on training with the Billiard players and there were several top class breaks from Martin Schmidt 107, 70,70, 40, 50, 50, 60.

I concentrated on the snooker players with my specific academy drills focusing on Break-Building, Mini Breaks, Open Breaks, Cue Ball Control, Long Potting and Matchplay plus we held a 10min Shoot-Out.
Lukas Stötzer won the elite break building Challenge and the Shoot out while Dominic Neuwirth won the skills event on day 1 while Richard Alge won the skills event on day 2.

Coaching Program
All the players received a copy of a mind fitness booklet to identify what it takes to become a complete player The players also got feedback on what fundamentals they need to work on.
Mental Seminars
National Coach Chau Zi Kim gave several Mental Training seminars on becoming mentally stronger throughout the camp.

Training Aids
The latest training aids were used to enhance the sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, QLine, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser and the EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.

Thank You
I would personally like to thank the Austrian Association for their continued support and inviting me again to hold more camps with their National Teams players in 2026.
I would like to thank Austrian President and sporting director Patrick Stegmeier plus National Coach Chau Zi Kim and EBSA Coach Florian Schidla along with the ÖSBV Academy for their assistance during this camp.

Good Luck
It was a pleasure training everyone again and good luck to our players in the WBL and IBSF Championships in Carlow.
keep on training hard and believe in yourself.
See you all in June.
Auf Wiedersehen
