My 147academy returned to the city of Vienna to hold a National Snooker Training Camp organised by the Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of September 2022.
The Players
Mario Bodlos, Oskar Charlesworth, Thomas Janzso, Elias Kapitany, Christoph Kesler, Philipp Koch, Jérôme Liedtke, Paul Schopf, Lukas Stötzer and Josef Elias Wimmer were invited to attended training in the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy from 10am-6pm on each day.
Training Plan
I focused on the players Match-play, Technique, Cue Ball Control, Long Potting and on the Mental Side of the game. The players performed fantastic in the camp on my specific academy routines and games.
High Quality Camp
During all Austrian camps we focus on 12 specific drills in 3 Areas of Potting, Control and Scoring. Oskar Charlesworth won the long potting with a fantastic score of 31 from 40pots. There was a three way 1st place on the cue ball control drills with Elias Kapitany, Thomas Janzso and Paul Schopf winning with 35 balls from 40 balls. Elias Kapitany won the beak building with a fantastic score of 443points.
Match-Play Events
On Day 1 of the Camp we held a mini match-play event and it was Mario Bodlos who won the Match-Play event with 8 wins from 9 matches and on Day 2 of the Match-play event, victory went to Philipp Koch with 8 wins from 9 matches.
Seminars Mental and physical
National Coach Chau Zi Kim gave Mental Training seminars to the players on helping to become mentally stronger in the future plus qualified fitness coach Daniel Seyser held two fitness sessions for the players on both mornings.
Coaching
All the players received the video clips from the camp along with a new 147academy Mental Training booklet to work on during each training session ahead of the IBSF Championships in Turkey in November.
Training Aids
The latest training aids were used in the camp to enhance the sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser, EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.
