Last weekend I returned to Vienna in Austria to hold my first snooker training camp of 2024. This camp was again organised by the Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association and it featured plyers from the Austrian National Team on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of February.
The Players
The 10 Players were invited to the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy were Emil Becker, Mario Bodlos, Paul Schopf, Lukas Stötzer, Thomas Janzso, Patrick Stift, Maximilian Pfleger, Jérôme Liedtke, Josef Elias Wimmer and Tengo Hanser attended training both days from 10am to 6pm.
The facilities in the HSEBC academy were again excellent and I was very happy with the players overall training performances and I am confident, we are developing all the players to improve in each camp.
High Quality Camp
This camp we again concentrated on the specific drills in Mini Breaks, Open Breaks, Long Potting and Frame routines where players played a best of 3 match on each drill.
Training Results
The star performer was Paul Schopf winning the Match-Play Event on the Sunday with Thomas Janzso in second place.
Seminars Mental and physical
National Coach Chau Zi Kim gave a number of Mental Training seminars to the players on becoming mentally stronger plus qualified fitness coach Daniel Seyser held a fitness session for the players to warm up properly on both days.
Training Aids
I had all the latest training aids to enhance the sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser and the EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.
Thank You
I would personally like to thank the Austrian Association for inviting me to work with the National Team players again in 2024 and I am already looking forward to holding six more camps.
I would like to thank Austrian President Christian Fock plus National Coach Chau Zi Kim and EBSA Coach Florian Hinterschuster and Daniel Seyser along with the HSEBC Academy for their assistance during this camp.
Good Luck
Finally, I would like to wish all the Austrian players good luck in the upcoming EBSA Snooker Championships in Bosnia and it was a pleasure training everyone again.
Keep on training hard and believe in yourself.
See you all in April.
Auf Wiedersehen
