The 8th & 9th of April my 147academy returned to Vienna in Austria to hold my latest Camp for the Austrian National Team. The Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association organised the camp and invited eight players from the National Rankings with Andreas Ploner, Manuel Pomwenger, Elias Kapitany, Serbest Hussein, Oskar Charlesworth, Jérôme Liedtke, Alexander Trinkl, Philipp Koch and Patrick Stift all in attendance at this training Camp in the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy from 10am-6pm.
This camp I focused on improving the players approach and designing training two specific levels of Building Routines and Long Potting, Safety and Mini Games to work on their weak areas of their game. The players also received a new homework diary with routines and sports psychology program to help them prepare their mind for the future. Oskar Charlesworth, Jérôme Liedtke and Philipp Koch had their best ever camps with superb displays over the weekend and all their hard work is paying off.
Results from the Cue Zone
On the first day Oskar Charlesworth won the opening break building challenge while Andreas Ploner won the event on Day 2. Manuel Pomwenger, Elias Kapitany, Oskar Charlesworth and Philipp Koch won the Match-Play events with stunning tactical snooker while Andreas Ploner won the long potting challenge. I was very impressed again with the overall standard as the players give a 100% and it is hoped that the new training plan will help the players reach the next level in 2017.
Thank You
As usual I would like to thank ABSA Sport Director & Association President Christian Fock and Austrian coach Chau Zi Kim for all their help and to Günther Eckhart for assisting me and the players during the weekend. Finally i would like to thank the players and I look forward to holding my next Camp in May.
