My latest Austrian National Snooker Training Camp was held this weekend in the HSEBC Cue Sports Academy in Vienna, Austria. This camp was again organised by the Austrian Billiards & Snooker Association with eight players invited to attend this two day PJ Nolan camp.
Oskar Charlesworth, Philipp Koch, Florian Nüßle, Jérôme Liedtke, Tajmeet Grover, Florian Toth, Mario Bodlos and Elias Kapitany attended this intense training camp to prepare the Austrian players for the IBSF Championships in Myanmar next month.
The Camp Winners
I held different types of competitions during the camp to monitor the player’s performances. The Technical competition was won by Florian Nüßle with a stunning display with Oskar Charlesworth and Jérôme Liedtke in joint second place.
In the Mental Competition it was again Florian Nüßle who was too strong and won it with Oskar Charlesworth and Philipp Koch in joint second place.
The Scoring competition was also won by Florian Nüßle with top quality scoring which included a 139 clearance on the Bond Break and 142 clearance on the Allen Break. In second place it was Elias Kapitany with Mario Bodlos in third place.
In the five different Match-Play competitions the winners were Florian Nüßle with two victories, Mario Bodlos, Jérôme Liedtke and Oskar Charlesworth with one victory each.
Training Plan
During this camp I worked with the players on improving their Technique, Break Building skills and Safety Games with specific academy Technical, Mental, Scoring and Match-Play routines. I really feel the players are developing their game with every camp. All the players practiced from 10am – 6pm and it was a pleasure training them again as their commitment was superb.
Coaching
All the players received a CD from the coaching camp along with a copy of the training and Mind Fitness booklet to work on during each training session at home.
Thank You
I would personally like again to thank the Austrian Association for inviting me to work with the players and I am already looking forward to holding the next camp in December.
Finally I would like to thank Austrian President and Sport Director Christian Fock and National Coach Chau Zi Kim for their assistance during the camp and I wish all the Austrian players the best of luck in the IBSF World Championships in Myanmar.
Come on Team Austria!!!!
