Ahmed Saif from Qatar became the first Qatari ever to win a Gold medal at this years GCC Snooker Championships in Dubai. The 2005 Event this year was held in the fantastic Dubai Snooker Club and featured players from UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
Ahmed was delighted to win the gold and create his bit of history. His coach and Qatar National Coach PJ Nolan from the Republic of Ireland ‘’ said he was delighted with his overall performance and it shows all our hard work within the Qatar Billiards & Snooker Association is working’’
Ahmed was presented with his Gold medal from IBSF President Pascal Guillaume from France at the Closing Ceremony in Dubai.
