- The long road to become the Champion
In 2009 I was asked if I would like to coach a 14 year old boy called Shachar Ruberg from Israel and I did not hesitate in saying yes. 1000’s of hours later on the practice table, years of training camps in developing my 147academy fundamentals in Tel Aviv and all around the world.
Everything came right in Romania this week to win the 2018 EBSA 6 Red Championship and qualify for the World 6red in Thailand. I cannot say how proud I am of him and we both know what we have done to achieve this success for the first time in the history of his country.
I have previously coached Irish players to win other European Titles in the past but this is my first International European Champion. Like them all, you are an inspiration to all my 147academy students that it is possible to win the major titles if you stay focused and believe in yourself by training properly.
