Last week my 147 Academy travelled to Warsaw in Poland to hold my latest coaching camp for the Polish Billiards & Snooker Association. The five day training camp was organised to improve the national teams technique, potting skills and training program. Among the players who attended the camp included the 2011 European U-21 Champion and former Professional player Kasper Filipiak and the 2014 IBSF World U-21 Semi Finalist Mateusz Baranjowski. They were joined by the new generation of Patryk Maslowski, Karol Lelek, Pawel Rogoza, Maciej Kusak, Daniel Holoyda, Michal Kotiuk and Bartek Utkowski who all are very good players who have the talent to become future stars of the future in Polish Snooker in the years ahead.

I also coached ex National champion Jarek Kowalski plus lady players Gosia Sikorski, Ola and Natalia Nowak and I would like to thank local EBSA Coach Mateusz Nowak for his help in organising everything. Each player will now begin my specific academy training program and be monitored during each national training camp to maximise their training in developing their game even more. During the camp I worked on the players Address Position, Cue Action, Pause and developing a smooth delivery in their Cue Actions. The players trained each day on my Academy practice routines to improve their cue ball control, scoring and long potting.

I also worked on their safety game with mini tournaments as I feel this is a crucial area for their improvement in developing their game to a higher level. All the players received a DVD of their coaching videos along with new training booklets plus Sports Psychology audio to work on their mind fitness. The highest break of the camp was a 138 clearance by Kasper Filipiak on my Academy 'Carter Break'

The amount of talent on show was very impressive and it is a great honour to have this role to train the National Polish team as I am very excited about developing a great team in Poland over the next few seasons. I would like to thank Mariusz Sikorski Chairman of the Polish Billiards & Snooker Association for inviting me to Poland and it was a pleasure training players as their commitment was superb. Finally I would like to thank all the players and I look forward to training you all again at my next training camp in November in Poland.
